Microsoft was planning to refresh the User Interface of Windows 10 with a new design language. Finally Microsoft has revealed the the name of Project Neon – “The Microsoft Fluent Design System”. According to Microsoft the experiences Windows users see on devices can differ dramatically, and the Fluent Design System is designed to cater to those different device types, providing the best user-interface designs depending on your device type. It basically focus on animations, simplicity, and consistency.
Here is a brief idea about the project –
Some may have experienced the design improvements as Microsoft recently pushed updates to Groove, Calculator, Films & TV, and some other apps, that introduced improved UI within the apps, including blur and hover animations and more.
- It controls the User Interface with illumination. Glow Hover effects and more.
- Parallax effects, virtual experiences and powerful animations.
- Auto scaling of Apps for different devices.
These devices all behave differently and fulfil different needs. From large screens to no screens they rely on touch, ink, voice, gaze, and gesture. Every day, developers also face the challenge of a multi-device, multi-interaction world, and we are committed to simplifying this world with a modern Microsoft design system.
